HW Partners is committed to protecting the personal information of our clients, employees, and business partners in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). As Chartered Professional Accountants, we are also governed by CPA Ontario’s Code of Professional Conduct, which further reinforces our obligation to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information.

Information We Collect

In the course of providing professional services, HW Partners collects personal information including, but not limited to, names, addresses, marital status, dates of birth, phone numbers, Social Insurance Numbers, financial records, business information, employment information, and government-issued identification.

How We Use Your Information

Personal information is collected only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate, including:

• Preparation and filing of personal and corporate tax returns
• Accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting services
• CRA correspondence and regulatory filings
• Business advisory and financial planning services
• Meeting legal and professional obligations

Sharing Your Information

We will not disclose your personal information without your consent except as required by law. With your consent, we may share information with third parties necessary to provide our services, including Canada Revenue Agency and other government authorities, private wealth management companies, legal professionals, financial institutions, software and technology service providers, and other accounting firms including international firms. Please note that where information is shared with international firms, your personal information may be transferred outside of Canada.

Safeguards

HW Partners employs physical, organizational, and technological safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Access to personal information is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.

Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal information HW Partners holds about you, request corrections, and withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to challenge our compliance with PIPEDA. We will respond to all written access requests and complaints within 30 days.
