Accounting with Perspective and Purpose
From a young age, I was fascinated by the stories of Canadian entrepreneurs and the impact they’ve had on our economy and communities. That early curiosity, combined with the influence of a CPA in my family, sparked a strong interest in the world of business and eventually led me to pursue a career in accounting. What drew me to the profession then is what still drives me today: a desire to understand how businesses work and to support the people who lead them.
A Bit About My Journey
I graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Commerce and joined Hendry Warren in 2018. I earned my CPA designation in 2021 and have since focused on assurance, helping clients meet their compliance needs while also understanding the broader goals behind the numbers. Working across a range of industries has deepened my perspective, and I enjoy sharing that experience with newer team members.
What Matters to Me
For me, it’s all about building relationships and delivering work that makes a difference. I take the time to get to know my clients and their operations, as that understanding enables me to provide more effective, practical guidance. I also value mentorship and community involvement, because our work doesn’t stop at the office door.
Life Outside the Office
When I’m not working, I enjoy staying active, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering in the community. Most recently, I’ve served on the Board of Directors for the Heron Emergency Food Centre, which has given me a meaningful way to give back.
