Grounded by Nature, Guided by Numbers
I’ve always been drawn to both numbers and nature—they each have a way of bringing curiosity, clarity and perspective. My favourite subjects in school were always math and gym class. I love working with numbers, problem solving and organizing data. When I need to recharge, spending time in nature and exercising helps me reset and refocus. I apply this mindset in my day-to-day work as an accountant.
A Bit About My Journey
In 2019, I joined HW Partners as a co-op student and began working full time in 2021, after graduating from Carleton University with my Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Accounting. In 2023, I officially earned my CPA designation. At HW Partners, I work as an Assurance Manager, thoughtfully supporting clients with their accounting and tax needs. I also enjoy giving back to the community and work on the finance committee for the Heron Emergency Food Centre.
What Matters to Me
I value the people behind the numbers that are working hard to succeed. I enjoy working with clients to help them understand their financial picture and make informed decisions. Providing clients clear communication, empathy and support is highly important to me. I also prioritize the mentorship of up and coming accountants and strive to create a positive workplace culture.
Life Outside the Office
Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me enjoying the outdoors with my friends or family—whether it’s hiking, skiing, swimming, or mountain biking, depending on the season. If I’m not on an adventure, there’s a good chance I’m stopping to say hello to every dog I meet.
